This is the second year the Open Iftar is being held in the U.S. under the RTP umbrella, and still the only site in the nation to do so. The public is invited to participate in this event which will be held in the main hall of the Muslim Educational Trust. Muslims, Christians, Jews, and people of good faith are invited, and each night there will be a speaker: Muslim, Christian, and Jewish. Food and refreshments will be provided.
The Ramadan Tent Project is an initiative that began in London, UK in 2011, but has now spread to various cities around the world. The goal of RTP is to unite Muslims and non-Muslims alike, break barriers, and show the true face of Islam by sharing an iftar meal.
